Butter Yellow | 70s Flare | Lemon Drop Martini
We need to start you off with the color of the season, butter yellow. I love this color for its retro vibes, sunshine feels, and playfulness. How can you not be happy and smiling when wearing butter yellow!?!
If this color were to represent anyone it would 100% be Kate Hudson in Almost Famous or maybe even How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days. I instantly want to pull pieces from the seventies—flowy tops, flared jeans, & colored lenses.
It only makes sense to pair a boozy yellow cocktail with this groovy outfit, a Lemon Drop Martini. Thought to be originated in the 1970s in San Francisco—bright, refreshing, and slightly tart.
Lemon Drop Martini
Recipe:
2 oz vodka (preferably citron vodka for extra lemony kick)
3/4 oz Cointreau
1 oz fresh lemon juice
1/2 oz simple syrup
Optional: sugar for rimming the glass
Garnish: lemon twist or sugar rim
Instructions:
Garnish the rim of a chilled martini glass with sugar plus lemon twist.
Add vodka, Cointreau, lemon juice, simple syrup, and a handful of ice to a cocktail shaker. Shake for 30 seconds. Strain into the martini glass and serve.
Red | Bold & Flirty | Cherry Mezcal Margarita
I love adding pops of red to an outfit. It brings instant confidence, bold energy, and a touch of sexy allure without having to reveal anything. If you want to take it even one step further, add an animal print piece!
I understand that donning a full animal print piece can be a bit intimidating. If you're looking for a more subtle way to embrace the trend, try incorporating animal prints or a pop of red into your accessories. Such as statement purses, belts, scarves, or shoes.

A fierce outfit like this deserves a cocktail that can keep up. Sip on a Cherry Mezcal Margarita—smoky, a touch of sweet, and very bold. I will admit this is my FAVORITE look and cocktail. It may give you a little insight into my personality!
Cherry Mezcal Margarita
Recipe:
2 oz mezcal
1 oz sour cherry juice
3/4 oz fresh lime juice
1/2 oz Cointreau
1/4–1/2 oz agave syrup
Garnish: lime wheel, cherry, or Tajín/salted rim
Instructions:
Garnish your favorite cocktail glass with Tajín or salt plus lime wheel.
Add mezcal, cherry juice, lime juice, Cointreau, simple syrup, and a handful of ice to a cocktail shaker. Shake for 30 seconds. Pour into your glass and serve.
Prints | Vintage Glamour | French 75
You have probably seen gingham prints and stripes all over your feed (which I love!), but can we take a moment for polka dots. There’s something undeniably chic and sophisticated regarding the print. I immediately think of Cruella De Vil who had an obsession with Dalmatians. Like the iconic dog, the pattern is striking.
When done tastefully, gingham or polka dots can exude glamour, evoking a vintage vibe that feels like you’re strolling the streets of 1920s Paris.

This outfit only makes sense if you pair it with one of the best sparkling wine cocktails, a French 75. This classic cocktail originated in the early 1900s. Let’s step back in time, dressing with a touch of sophisticated glamour for a casual mid afternoon lunch date. Because you do not need a fancy event as an excuse to dress up!
French 75
Recipe:
1 oz gin
1/2 oz fresh lemon juice
1/2 oz simple syrup
Top with Champagne
Lemon twist for garnish
Instructions:
Garnish a coupe glass with lemon twist.
Shake gin, lemon juice, and simple syrup on ice for 30 seconds. Add to coupe glass. Top with champagne.
Natural Fabrics | Comfortably Chic | Cucumber Mint Cooler
This summer is all about embracing quality fabrics that feel as luxurious as they look. Think breathable linen, crisp cotton, and lightweight cashmere. When you incorporate these high-end materials into relaxed, comfortable outfits, your look is instantly elevated. It’s the easiest way to look (and feel) expensive without trying too hard.
My friends with kids are always hesitant to wear their nicer quality pieces. And my advice, who cares! Clothes are meant to be worn. So yes you will see me in my linen pants and cashmere sweater with baby on my hip.

Sip a Cucumber Mint Cooler as you lounge on the porch, dressed in a breezy linen set and cozy cashmere sweater, novel in hand. Bonus points if you’re near the ocean. (still dreaming about this scenario for myself)
Cucumber Mint Cooler (Mocktail)
Ingredients:
4–5 slices fresh cucumber
4 fresh mint leaves
3/4 oz fresh lime juice
1/2 oz simple syrup or agave
Sparkling water or soda water
Ice
Garnish: cucumber ribbon, mint sprig, or lime wheel
Instructions:
Muddle the cucumber slices and mint leaves gently in a shaker.
Add lime juice and simple syrup and shake with ice for 30 seconds. Strain for a smoother drink. Fill a glass with ice, pour in the mixture, and top with sparkling water. Garnish as desired
I’m curious which look and cocktail you gravitate too? Is it also similar to your personality? Tell me in the comments!
Besos,
Kate
